Sword & Shield considered one of the most innovative companies in the cybersecurity market

KNOXVILLE, TN March 10, 2017 Sword & Shield Enterprise Security, a leading national cybersecurity firm based in Knoxville, Tennessee, was named to Cybersecurity Ventures’ Q1 2017 edition of the Cybersecurity 500, a global compilation of leading cybersecurity solutions and services companies.

Sword & Shield Enterprise Security was one of only two Tennessee-based firms to make the list.

According to Cybersecurity Ventures, the Cybersecurity 500 creates awareness and recognition for the most innovative cybersecurity companies of all types, regardless of size. The list is based on feedback from industry influencers, CISOs, IT security practitioners and technology service providers, as well as activity in the cybersecurity field such as events and news generation.

Cybersecurity Ventures Editor-in-Chief Steve Morgan says his team feels its audience of cyber and IT security decision makers and influencers are more interested in knowing which information security companies bring true value to their clients.

“They already know who the biggest vendors are,” says Morgan. “Instead, we give a nod to the hottest and most innovative companies.”

“We’re honored to be included on the Cybersecurity 500 as it’s based on merit, as opposed to just number of employees or revenue,” said John McNeely, president and CEO of Sword & Shield Enterprise Security. “We feel this is a testament to the service we provide our clients on a daily basis, and the effort we put into staying at the forefront of security developments on their behalf.”

The Cybersecurity 500 is published by Cybersecurity Ventures, the world’s leading researcher and publisher of reports covering global cybercrime damage projections, cybersecurity spending forecasts and cybersecurity employment figures. Cybersecurity Ventures publishes a new edition of the Cybersecurity 500 each quarter. The revised quarterly editions have new companies coming on the list, others dropping off, and changes to the listing order, to accurately reflect the current hottest and most innovative companies.
