LRAD receives $1.6M order from Southeast Asia for public safety acoustic hailing devices
SAN DIEGO March 8, 2017 LRAD Corporation (NASDAQ: LRAD), the world’s leading provider of acoustic hailing devices (“AHDs”) and advanced mass notification systems, today announced a $1.6 million public safety order from Southeast Asia for LRAD 100X and LRAD 300X systems. The order is scheduled for delivery this fiscal year.
“The proven performance and versatility of previously shipped LRAD systems led to this order as more public safety agencies in Southeast Asia are equipping their personnel with the superior technology and reliability of LRAD AHDs,” remarked Richard S. Danforth, Chief Executive Officer of LRAD Corporation. “LRAD systems ensure voice communications are clearly heard above background noise and over long distances in public safety situations."
The LRAD 100X is the leading portable AHD for on-scene and tactical communications. In addition to its best in class intelligibility, the LRAD 100X is also louder than other hailing devices of comparable size and weight.
Low profile, lightweight and designed for use on tripods, small vessels and vehicles, the LRAD 300X broadcasts clear, authoritative voice commands and attention-commanding alert tones to safely warn, direct, notify, determine intent, enhance response capabilities, and initiate the escalation of force when necessary.
