BI Incorporated hires new IT vice president
BOULDER, CO Oct. 19, 2016 BI Incorporated, a national leader for electronic monitoring products and services for community corrections and immigration agencies, has named Marsha Williams the company’s Vice President of Information Technology. The former E-470 Public Highway Authority executive assumes this role on Oct. 19.
Ms. Williams will be responsible for overseeing BI’s information technology systems and software development team, a key role in BI achieving its enterprise-wide strategic goals. She will also be charged with analyzing and reworking existing business processes and identifying and developing the capability to use new tools that will support BI and its customers.
“Marsha is respected for her organizational, management and strategic skills, especially in highly technical engineering and manufacturing environments,” said Jock Waldo, Divisional Vice President, BI Incorporated. “Marsha’s experience will be critical as BI further develops its continuum of location monitoring products, software, security, and data-driven services.”
Ms. Williams has 20 years of experience in information technology systems. Most recently, she was Chief Information Officer and Technology Director for E-470 Public Highway Authority, a role she held since 2011. Specifically, she was responsible for overseeing implementation of roadway automation, RFID, imagery, transaction and billing management, call center and command center services, planning and more. The highway authority’s integrated platform handles 250 million transactions annually.
Additionally, Ms. Williams has been a respected independent consultant, working in diverse and complex environments in which she was tasked with redesigning systems, developing technology roadmaps, and strategic planning for large enterprises.
Ms. Williams earned a Master of Technology Management from the University of Denver and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Management and Science from Metropolitan State College. She is a judge and FIRST Robotics Colorado; on the technology advisory board for United Launch Alliance; and she was a board member for the Society for Information Technology. She was named “Woman of the Year” by the Mile High Business and Professional Women’s Association in 2002.
