OmniVision executive to speak at Paris conference on smart cameras

PARIS Sept. 13, 2016 OmniVision Technologies, the leader in innovative digital imaging technologies, today announced that Dr. Boyd Fowler, VP of Marketing, will be the keynote speaker at the 10th International Conference on Distributed Smart Cameras (ICDSC) in Paris, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. The ICDSC is a three-day event that focuses on technologies behind the development and implementation of smart camera networks, and their role in intelligent cities, buildings, and homes.

During his keynote, Fowler will present the highlights from the 2015 International Image Sensor Workshop. Subsequently, he will examine the unique intersection of high-performance and entry-level image sensors that are enabling new application areas, such as doorbell, 360-degree view, and IP cameras. He will also touch on other industry trends, including phase detection pixels, near-infrared imaging, stacked die technology, and wide dynamic range image sensors, among others.

"We are committed to providing attendees of ICDSC with critical information and insight on leading-edge advancements in smart camera technology. As such, we invite high-level influencers to help drive effective and meaningful discussions," said Antoine Dupret, senior expert at CEA-Tech and co-chair of ICDSC. "This year's event promises to be one of the best as we explore the adoption of intelligent imaging devices across exciting new markets, which will be illustrated during Boyd Fowler's session."
