AAAE offers first ever UAS training for airport operators and law enforcement officers
Do you know what to do if a drone enters your airspace or violates FAA regulations? AAAE is offering the first ever UAS Training for Airport Operators and Law Enforcement March 14-15, 2016, in Alexandria, Virginia.
This workshop is the only one of its kind developed specifically for law enforcement and focused solely on responding to unauthorized unmanned aircraft operations. The agenda includes topics such as:
- UAS equipment and components
- Critical infrastructure and sensitive locations
- Legal/regulatory issues, current and proposed federal regulations
- Local law enforcement responsibilities
- Drone incidents and scenarios
- How to respond to an active flyer
Workshop participants will walk away with the ability to have a response policy ready to go for their agency on how to respond to UAS intrusions. In addition to the workshop, the event offers excellent networking opportunities with local, state, and federal law enforcement officials, as well as aviation safety officials and drone experts.
