GSN 2015 Airport/Seaport/Border Security Awards now accepting entries!

Following a successful launch of its Airport, Seaport and Border Security Awards in 2014, Government Security News has announced the opening of its second annual version of the program, which opened for nominations on March 16.

The Awards website can be accessed at www.asbsecurityawards.com.

According to GSN’s CEO/Editorial Director Adrian Courtenay, the updated 2015 edition of the program will once again cover basic technology groups used in common by the three markets, ranging from Access Control/Identification, Detection and Screening Solutions, Communications and Surveillance, Perimeter Protection, PSIMs and Integrated Programs, and will once again salute the Best Security Programs, Projects and Initiatives by Airport, Seaport and Border Security agencies and facilities themselves.

“We make a special effort to update our awards programs each year to include the newest and most important technologies with the biggest impact on the market,” said Courtenay. New categories being emphasized in 2015 include Coastal Surveillance, Search and Rescue, Satellite Communications, MOB Tracking, Best Aircraft/Naval Self-Protective Systems and Best Video Analytics with Behavioral Recognition.

All Winners in 2015 will receive a handsome, gold-trimmed plaque, and all Winners and Finalists will be invited to post their winning entries in the 2015 Yearbook of the Airport, Seaport and Border Security Weekly. Overall, Courtenay pointed out, awards programs are a great tool for getting lots of favorable publicity, not only in Government Security News and articles, but also in the coverage provided by Google and other search engines and of course Social Media, all of which welcome award winner announcements.

Parties considering submitting an entry in the 2015 Program, said Courtenay, should take a look at the popular 2014 Digital Yearbook of Homeland Security Awards, which was posted on the GSN website and mailed out to 40,000 recipients. It can be viewed at: http://www.gsnmagazine.com/2014ASBSecurityYearbook
