SafeNet Assured Technologies to provide data security solutions to the U.S. Federal Government
Belcamp, MD-based SafeNet Assured Technologies, a U.S. based provider of government high assurance data security solutions, has announced its formal company launch. SafeNet Assured Technologies’ mission is to provide high assurance data security products and technologies to defense, intelligence, and civilian agencies across the Federal Government. Through the formation of this company, SafeNet Assured Technologies will be better able to serve its government customers while also investing in the development of future technologies to secure the Federal Government’s most sensitive information.
SafeNet Assured Technologies, a wholly owned subsidiary of SafeNet, a Gemalto company, is a standalone company based and operated in the U.S. Its federal offerings include high assurance authentication solutions that secure access to sensitive data and network, cross domain solutions that enable assured information sharing between organizations, and government-specific Hardware Security Modules that provide protection for applications, transactions, and information assets by securing cryptographic keys and provisioning encryption, decryption, authentication, and digital signing services.
SafeNet Assured Technologies will also serve as the provider of SafeNet/Gemalto’s commercial authentication, encryption and key management solutions to the Federal Government. SafeNet Assured Technologies has all required U.S. Federal Government approvals and certifications to develop, support and sell products to its government clients. Now, government customers can leverage both SafeNet Assured Technologies’ expertise and SafeNet/Gemalto’s data security offerings without any compliance issues.
Kirk Spring, who spent more than 13 years with SafeNet, will lead the new company and serve as its president. He most recently served as vice president of technology in SafeNet’s CTO office. Spring has more than 30 years of experience in the development of technologies for the Department of Defense and other data security products built specifically for government use.
“We formed SafeNet Assured Technologies to maintain a U.S. based source of high assurance and commercial security products for the government” says Spring. “Our customers can trust in our ability to maintain the integrity of their data and networks.”
