Dean Drako, former founder and CEO of Barracuda Networks launches Eagle Eye Networks
Dean Drako, former founder and CEO of Barracuda Networks, recently founded Eagle Eye Networks, a company that provides security video management systems.
The Eagle Eye Security Camera Video Management System (VMS) is a cloud-based solution that captures video and allows security personnel to monitor the system on their laptops, computers, and mobile devices. Unlike other VMS products, it does not require any special software, access codes, or operating systems. All of the data is securely stored in the cloud and virtually any Web browser can be used to access the real time video feed. The cloud system makes it easy to manage the video footage at all times. Given the nature of the cloud system, users are only required to pay for the precise of amount of storage that they use.
Anyone with a laptop, computer, smart phone, or mobile device can access the system to change camera settings, turn cameras on or off, watch real-time footage, or even send footage to other people. The system is compatible with many of the IP and analog security cameras on the market and they can be easily added to the system with the click of a button.
Drako is a graduate of University of Michigan where he obtained a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering. He later attended the University of California at Berkeley and obtained a Masters in Electrical Engineering. He was the founder and CEO of Barracuda Networks, a company that provides security, storage, and networking software solutions. Drako currently holds 27 patents.
“I wanted to deliver an easy-to-use full featured solution that does not have the overhead and complexity of existing solutions,” said Drako.
Eagle Networks Inc. is based in Austin, TX. They offer a complete line of video management systems for government and business organizations.
