FEMA to hold an industry day for ‘transportation carriers’ in DC on July 11
The logistics management division of FEMA will host an industry day for transportation carriers in Washington, DC, on July 11, from 9 am to 12:30 pm.
FEMA envisions the event as an opportunity for transportation companies to better understand FEMA’s goals and methods, and for FEMA to “acquire knowledge on this industry market,” says a notice posted by FEMA online on June 20.
The industry day will be held at the NASA headquarters auditorium, which is located at 300 E Street, SW (between 3rd and 4th streets), Washington, DC, 20024.
A maximum of three representatives from a single company will be allowed to attend. Registration is required by July 8. Registrants should send an email with their company name, company address, attendee name, phone number and email address for each separate participant to [email protected]. Put the phrase “LMD Transportation Industry Day Registration” in the email’s subject line.
Further information is available from Zahra Hashmi, a contracting officer, at 202-646-7072 or [email protected]
Just to throw a little cold water on prospective registrants, FEMA’s announcement closes with this disclaimer: “Attendance does not guarantee contract award.”
