MIR3 releases new version of TelAlert notification system to celebrate 15th anniversary
MIR3, of San Diego, CA, a developer of intelligent notification and response software, announced on June 16 the release of TelAlert version 5.71 and TelAlert 6e version 6.2 in recognition of the product’s 15-year anniversary.
TelAlert is used by IT professionals in an IT environment to provide and receive notifications. The Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) is a software platform with several networks. The ITSM monitors applications and make sure that the IT networks are running properly. When they are not, TelAlert sends a notification to the ITSM.
The advantage of TelAlert is that, after having filled the contact information once, it knows the appropriate person to whom the notification should be sent, and how to reach the recipient according to his or her agenda. For instance, during the day, TelAlert could notify the recipient on his or her office phone number, and at night, on the recipient’s personal phone.
TelAlert is an intuitive system that tracks records through several IT networks. It is also equipped with an escalation plan. If the recipient does not answer, TelAlert would know how to escalate from device or from person. “Initially, TelAlert was used as a development notification but in 15 years, the IT world has grown and TelAlert has adapted with increased robustness scalability, and skill ability,” said Maurice Burrell, director of product management, in an interview with GSN: Government Security News.
“TelAlert has become a mainstay for IT service management, helping organizations maintain maximum uptime of IT operations across the enterprise,” said Robert Fink, vice president of platform technologies at MIR3. “This upgrade is evidence of MIR3’s commitment to innovation and our attention to customers’ ever-changing needs.”
TelAlert has the ability to send out a notification to hundreds of thousands of recipients through one or several communication means, including phone, cell phone, text message, e-mail and fax. MIR3 purchased TelAlert three years ago.
“TelAlert has found a right home at MIR3. We are proud of this 15th anniversary and we take great pride in releasing this new version of TelAlert,” Burrell commented.
For 15 years, the majority of FORTUNE 100 companies have chosen TelAlert to deliver important messages for mission-critical IT operations, as they trust TelAlert’s robustness and reliability, the company said.
