Brunei picks Analysys Mason to recommend broadband strategy
Analysys Mason, the London-based telecom, IT and media consultant, reports that it has been selected by the Authority for Info-communications Technology Industry of Brunei Darussalam to develop a broadband strategy to support access to a highly developed information communication technology infrastructure.
This strategy, the company says, will address the construction of an infrastructure that is widely available and capable of delivering high-speed broadband, as well as other aspects of the broadband sector in Brunei.
The strategy will be appropriate to promote a knowledge-based economy, Analysys Mason adds.
Analysys Mason describes its mission as undertaking a review of existing broadband policy and strategies; quantifying a broadband vision for Brunei and providing targets for development of the sector; providing tools, plans and recommendations addressing both supply and demand of broadband; reviewing and recommending approaches to investment for the construction of next-generation broadband infrastructure; and preparing an implementation plan to put these recommendations into action.
