FAIRFAX, VA April 28, 2017 The balance between protecting and sharing critical information has never been more crucial than in today’s Joint and Coalition military environment. Voice over IP audio and point-to-point video are common tools for operational information-sharing networks throughout the DoD and Intelligence Community (IC). However, the current collaborative infrastructure creates communities of users who frequently are unable to communicate outside of their network or security domains quickly and effectively. DIA has addressed this gap by deploying and accrediting V2 CDS between US SIPRnet and JWICS networks. Phones on these two networks can now call each other directly using both voice and video phones, eliminating the cost and footprint of installing and maintaining separate phones and networks to each end user’s desk.
Trident Systems’s Voice and Video Cross-Domain Solution (V2 CDS), which is designed to meet rigorous DoD and NSA standards, delivers VoIP audio and video telecommunications across network security boundaries using existing call managers and videophones in a user-friendly and timely manner. V2 CDS authenticates users and reduces covert channels to an acceptable risk, while simultaneously maintaining point-to-point video capability.
- Instantly & securely relays vital video & real-time voice across different security domains
- Provides face-to-face communication to reduce uncertainty, strengthen trust & expedite collaboration
- Supports cross-domain, point-to-point videophone calls & point-to-point & multi-party audio calls, which are as straightforward as placing long distance calls
- Supports existing Voice over IP (VoIP) infrastructures, including popular Private Branch Exchange (PBX) servers & SIP-compatible IP phones, with minimal hardware required
- Provides Recording for Playback and Analysis
- Assured Pipeline Architecture protects sensitive conversations and minimizes covert channels
- Supports star and cascading network connections with multiple V2 CDS systems
V2 CDS works with Trident’s Secure Communications Controller (SCC) product to enable secure cross domain tactical radio and commercial cellular communications. V2 CDS implements requisite NIST 800.53 and CNSS 1253 security controls and is on the Unified Cross Domain Services Management Office (UCDSMO) baseline as the first and only VoIP CDS (Cross Domain Solution) available for deployment within the DoD & IC. ST. PAUL‚ MN April 25‚ 2017 In ever-changing and unpredictable environments, it is especially crucial to have efficient and dependable technology to rely on. Officers know better than anyone what it is like to constantly deal with evolving circumstances, so to help provide stability to those who need it most, 3M is proud to announce the 3MTM Mobile ALPR Processor SX4.
Designed specifically for versatile on-street law enforcement environments, the Mobile ALPR Processor SX4 has undergone essential upgrades to its hardware and operating software, including a faster processor and smaller design. It simultaneously supports up to four color and infrared 3M Mobile ALPR Cameras, providing accurate reads on license plates across a wide range of applications including parking enforcement, site security, local law enforcement and highway patrol.
Along with improved processing speeds, the SX4 Processor is built with additional enhancements, such as a larger hard drive and more memory storage. In order to provide increased reliability over the previous model in on-street operating conditions, it includes improved BIOS operation to ensure continuous license plate reading in the event of battery failure.
“Designed to be more robust and capable of performing under a wide range of conditions, the 3M Mobile ALPR Processor SX4 is an upgraded and improved system to ensure officers are working with the best 3M ALPR tools available,” said Olivia He, global marketing manager for 3M Traffic Safety and Security. “Since law enforcement officers are frequently working in fluctuating environments, we are excited to provide a processor that is consistently dependable, based on third-party testing in simulated field conditions.”
The 3M Mobile ALPR Processor SX4 is not only more powerful and efficient than the previous processor, but is also more portable and user-friendly. The processing unit is lighter, smaller in size, consumes less power, produces less ambient noise and heat, and has a flexible orientation during installation, which allows for maximum use of space in the vehicle. The device also now features a larger range of operating and storage temperatures so it is able to withstand an increased range of temperatures that may affect the vehicle.
“Reliable technology is extremely important in the world of law enforcement, and we know how quickly technology can evolve and change,” said He. “Because of this, 3M is committed to investing in innovations that consistently improve the lives of those who protect us each and every day.”

WESTMINSTER, CO April 18, 2017 3xLOGIC, Inc., a leading provider of integrated intelligent security solutions, today announced the company demonstrated its newest, integrated video and access control software platform at the ISC West show, in Las Vegas 05-07 April.
“We are changing the rules of the game for video and access control for the SMB market with our new integrated, hosted video and access control solution,” announced Matt Kushner, 3xLOGIC CEO. “We have achieved the most powerful commercial feature set at a price that fits the budget for even the smallest business owners.”
The latest software innovation does not stop at the powerful feature set of pushing notification to a user’s cell phone, or that customers can use their cell phone as their credential, or even that it enables total remote system administration from a mobile device. 3xLOGIC has broken new ground by making this video and access control solution the easiest to install in the industry. There are no wires from the access control system to the video system, all data exchange is through the software. Total ease of installation has been achieved by developing an automated, cloud-based programing tool, so one simply scans a QR code from a smartphone and installation is virtually complete!
This new integrated solution removes the expensive technical labor from the equation of installing commercial integrated video access control security. “The small business market is totally untapped for integrated video and managed access control,” Kushner continued. “Until recently, the cost for a commercial grade, integrated solution was out of reach for the majority of small businesses and even medium-sized businesses.
For the SMB market, integrated video and access was out of reach due mainly to the labor required for such a complex installation process, coupled with the high up-front cost of servers and software. Eliminating the expensive labor component and removing the cost of software and servers have opened the market for SMB customers to enjoy the management benefits of a highly sophisticated, integrated security solution without the crushing up-front labor and capital costs.
“What’s more, now medium and even smaller-size integrator partners have access to this technology as part of their market offer,” said Kushner. Our intergrators can comfortably, competently do the installation while reaping the benefits of growing their RMR business.”
3xLOGIC’s demonstrated its integrated video and access control cloud-based software solution during the ISC West tradeshow. General product availability will be by the end of May 2017.
3xLOGIC Inc. has been a leading innovator in server and cloud-based security technology for 15+ years.
