ASSA ABLOY announces integration of Aperio™ wireless technology with Keep™ SMS by Feenics

New Haven, CT, October 13 ASSA ABLOY, a global leader in door opening solutions, today announced the integration of their Aperio™ wireless lock technology with Keep™ from Feenics Inc., a cloud-based leader in security management solutions.

The Aperio integration offers Feenics customers an easy, affordable way to connect additional openings to their existing Keep™ systems. Aperio is a global wireless platform available across a broad range of locking hardware from ASSA ABLOY Group brands, offering the flexibility to address a variety of applications throughout any facility.

Keep™ is the first ever cloud-based access control platform that can operate as an on premise solution within the end user’s private network, or in a hosted environment, using the same user interface for either application.  In a hosted environment, Feenics has engineered Keep™ to run without servers or appliances on site, lowering the total cost of ownership for the end user and eliminating costly refreshes of servers and hardware.  The feature-rich UI uses the proven, open field hardware of Mercury and HID and is fully scalable to meet the need of the end customer.

“The integration with ASSA ABLOY is a perfect complement to the value proposition of Keep™ in offering a robust solution that meets the needs of the customer yet reduces the total cost of ownership.  In addition, Feenics and our partners can count on ASSA ABLOY for outstanding support, whether in the field or remotely.  Great products along with great service is a winning combination,” said Paul DiPeso, Executive Vice President of Feenics, Inc.

“We are excited to support Feenics’ mission of lowering the total cost of ownership for their customers. The Aperio integration will allow customers to expand the utility of their Keep

system by expanding it to more openings and more applications throughout the facility. This is a truly cost-effective solution for comprehensive security,” stated Martin Huddart, President Access and Egress Hardware Group, ASSA ABLOY Americas.

Aperio is a global wireless platform that allows you to expand your access control footprint – quickly, easily, and affordably. It uses wireless communication (IEEE 802.15.4) between the lock and an Aperio hub to provide real-time communication to the access control system, simplifying installation and reducing costs.

About Feenics, Inc.

Keep™ by Feenics is one the industry’s most secure, on premise or cloud-hosted, integrated access control and security management solutions.  Featuring two-factor authentication, TLS encrypted field hardware and a secure SSL connection, Keep provides the end user powerful features, with an easy to navigate user interface (UI).  As a hosted platform, Keep reduces the total cost of ownership (TCO) by eliminating servers and appliances, while the UI is accessible with a PC, tablet or smartphone, providing peace of mind with full disaster recovery and redundancy.  Designed by a leading industry integrator and innovator specifically for the systems integration and value-added reseller markets, Keep’s modular design scales linearly – from single sites to an enterprise environment.  Keep monitors real-time events and pushes alarm or manual notifications out via email or SMS; locks down doors with a single click; and creates badges, all by using non-proprietary field hardware by HID and Mercury.
