Security Labels International acquires Geoffrey Waldmeyer Associates Ltd

Security Labels International, a UK-based manufacturer of tamper-evident security devices, announced on April 23 that it has acquired Geoffrey Waldmeyer Associates Ltd, supplier of plastic and metal C-TPAT security seals, asset labels and tamper-evident bags.

Security Labels International, based in Staffordshire, UK, was established as a subsidiary of The Mercian Labels Group in 2007.

This acquisition will add significantly to the Security Labels product portfolio, particularly its Label Lock range of labels and tape. Used extensively by the police, as well as logistics and security managers, Label Lock products can be applied to everything from vehicle doors and windows, aircraft hatches and panels, and shrink-wrapped pallets to laptops, CD and DVD cases and almost all boxes and packages.

“The acquisition of Geoffrey Waldmeyer Associates, an important player in our market, will enable us to build even further on our ability to meet customer expectations,” said Security Label’s managing director, Dr. Adrian Steele. “The security label industry is constantly evolving and the level of R&D required to address the ongoing technical challenges calls for a scale of operation that this acquisition will help us to achieve.”

Hugo Gell, Security Label’s sales director, added, “This acquisition significantly adds to the portfolio of products we will offer to our global distributor and customer base, further enhancing the Label Lock brand and its continued successful penetration of the security market.”

Geoffrey Waldmeyer Associates Ltd, was founded 26 years ago and operates from Bexley in Kent, UK. The company’s product range covers asset labels, surface mount security seals, plastic and metal security seals, security marking and tamper-evident packaging.
