GSN: Government Security News has added a prominently positioned “Featured Video of the Month” to its Home Page and all 18 Channel Pages of its state-of-the-art Web site at www.gsnmagazine.com.
In the first “Featured Video of the Month” to appear on the site’s Home Page, four high definition video cameras capture the terrifying images of a gunmen boarding a bus in Toronto, pulling out a gun and shooting at another passenger on the bus.
Unfortunately for the gunman, Richard Haynes, the four Pixim-powered video surveillance cameras on the bus, furnished by March Technologies, produced images that were so crystal-clear that Haynes and his attorney were left with no choice but to plead guilty to attempted murder. Haynes was subsequently sentenced to nine years in prison.
In a second “Featured Video,” appearing on the site’s Border Security and Video Surveillance channel pages, the Pentax Imaging Corp., of Golden, CO, has posted a video demonstration of its award-winning Pentax Atmospheric Interference Reduction (PAIR) system, which processes atmospheric elements in a way that enables the surveillance camera to see clearly through fog, snow, rain and smoke.
According to Adrian Courtenay, managing partner of GSN: Government Security News, additional “Featured Videos of the Month” will include video interviews conducted by the Government Security News video team, product demonstrations, interviews with newsmakers, professionally produced corporate videos and other videos of interest to the national and international homeland security market.
“We believe the Featured Video of the Month series represents another important way to bring to our growing audience timely and relevant information about the strategies and technologies that are revolutionizing homeland security in the 21st century,” said Courtenay.
Courtenay indicated that another five to seven new “Featured Videos” are expected to be posted in the next week. Companies wishing to inquire about rates and requirements for the remaining available Technology and Market Sector Channels on the GSN site, should contact their GSN sales representative or Publisher Edward Tyler at 212-344-0759, ext. 2001.
