Valley Forge Composite Technologies reports first pending sale of the THOR-LVX
Covington, KY-based Valley Forge Composite Technologies, Inc. and New York City-based Caravan International Corp., an export management company representing high technology companies in the aerospace, security / threat detection, communications and advanced electronics areas, report that the Federation of Malaysia has included Valley Forge’s THOR LVX as a line item in the country’s next five year acquisition plan.
THOR LVX will be used by the Royal Malaysian Customs Department to screen containers at selected major ports in Malaysia. the companies say.
VFCT describes the THOR LVX as a screening system for sea and airline cargo that can scan a 40-foot shipping container in approximately 30 seconds, allowing it to detect many types of contraband including explosives, narcotics and radioactive materials.
"We believe that this will be the first of many orders of THOR LVX from Pacific Rim countries and from around the globe," Louis Brothers, CEO of Valley Forge, said in a statement.
