CBG Systems wins contract to provide Moonraker antenna systems for Italian naval fleet
CBG Systems is pleased to announce that it has secured a contract for the manufacture and supply of Moonraker Antenna Systems for the Italian Naval Law Program.
The Italian Naval Law Program is a multi-year procurement program to renew the Italian naval fleet. The program will deliver six (with an option for an additional four) multirole combat patrol vessels (Pattugliatori PPA), one Logistic Support Ship (LSS), one Landing Helicopter Dock (LHD) and two multi-role high speed vessels. The Italian Naval Program will be delivered by Fincantieri and Selex, a unit of Finmeccanica.
Fincantieri, together with Navantia and BAE Systems, have also been down selected by the Commonwealth of Australia for delivery of the SEA 5000 Project. SEA 5000 is an Australian Naval platform designed to replace Australia’s existing Anzac Class frigates.
Moonraker Antennas Systems are currently in operation in several defense naval platforms worldwide including the Australian Landing Helicopter Dock – Canberra Class.
Securing the supply of Moonraker Antenna Systems to the Italian Naval Law Program is a testament to CBG Systems’ advanced manufacturing capabilities and paves the way for future Australian and international naval projects.
