ImageWare and Four Points Technology awarded up to $3M in additional licensing

Jason Goldberg, Four Points Technology

San Diego, CA, December 4 - ImageWare Systems, Inc., a leader in mobile and cloud-based, multi-modal biometric identity management solutions, and its partner, Four Points Technology, LLC, announced an additional contract award to support The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The contract is for additional software and support services that are required to deliver biometrically-enabled credentials.

The new contract award covers a base period and option periods to provide enhanced security for contractors, employees and agency facilities. The estimated value of the additional licenses and support is $3 million, assuming all options are exercised over the next two fiscal years.

"ImageWare has built a successful track record implementing and supporting the VA's physical and logical access control system, and it has been a privilege to work with them to ensure biometric authentication of its employees," said Jim Miller, chairman and CEO of ImageWare Systems. "This additional agreement is another example of how the scalability and interoperability of our biometric identity management solutions help our customers address security mandates. ImageWare's vendor-neutral, open-architected and patented IWS Biometric Engine® platform provides government agencies and commercial enterprises with extremely flexible capabilities to meet any new business requirements."

Jason Goldberg, Sales Director at Four Points Technology, said, "We are pleased to support our VA customer with innovative technologies such as biometric credentialing.  As a partner with ImageWare, we are committed to providing our customers with security solutions; meeting their ever evolving and challenging security needs."
