The Government Technology & Services Coalition, an organization for small and mid-sized companies in homeland and national security, announced on Jan. 5 a new strategic alliance with The Chertoff Group, a security advisory firm founded by former DHS Secretary Michael Chertoff, that will provide its coalition members with additional resources to enable them to better understand and grow in the federal security market.
"Companies that generate the ideas, technologies and innovations needed by the Federal government to achieve the nation's security mission must have the best advice, counsel and resources available for their success," said Kristina Tanasichuk, founder and CEO of the GTSC.
“The Chertoff Group is the natural choice for assisting small companies interested in growth, and for mid-sized companies that want continued success once they are 'not small'," she added.
"We are excited to work with the Coalition to encourage these entrepreneurs to continue exercising their creativity, versatility, and innovations to secure the nation and contribute to our economic recovery," said Chad Sweet, co-founder and managing principal of The Chertoff Group. "A robust homeland security market is key to staying ahead of the numerous threats facing the nation and we are committed to assuring that both the government and these entrepreneurs have the opportunity to succeed."
The Chertoff group will contribute to the Coalition's thought leadership development on strategies and tactics for mid-sized companies in the federal market; approaches that small companies can take to survive and thrive; and opportunities for GTSC members to contribute in the federal security space.
