By Kirk Spring As we’ve seen by recently reported hacks of healthcare networks, security breaches are becoming commonplace. Attacks on secure networks can come from internal or external sources. “Breach prevention” is no longer a workable strategy.
Grants Pass, OR, March 27 – California’s ongoing worst ever drought, and the recent record breaking winter blizzards in Boston and the U.S. Northeast, are both manifestations of the same global climate change patterns. Earth warming global atmosphere is creating changes in the atmosphere’s “energy balance,” according to L. DeWayne Cecil, PhD, historical climatologist and former NASA researcher. The result is not only a warmer and dryer global climate but also greater and more frequent climatic extremes, including the recent Boston blizzards.

According to Bobby Brown, VP for Homeland Security, Telephonics business units include a Maritime Surveillance unit, a Communications unit and an Integrated Surveillance Group, which produces a ground-based Advanced Radar System (ARSS), with 1,600 systems deployed globally.  In recent years, Telephonics has collaborated with Customs and Border Protection to develop a package called the Mobile Surveillance System (MSS) that includes ground radar, pan-tilt cameras and a C2 system, with 44 systems presently in CBP’s inventory.
