GSN 2010 Awards: Cyril Draffin, VP Homeland Security, Northrop Grumman – Mr. Draffin discusses NGC’s 2010 award from GSN for its ASA data fusion program and describes some of the company’s core capabilities as a global security provider.  Recent initiatives included NGC’s BioWatch Gen -3 contract to develop a new generation of  bio-detection sensing  systems for tracking bio-hazards, and development of a nationwide, one-badge credentialing system for access control.

GSN 2010 Awards: Colonel William Lacey (Ret) – Long-time friend and fellow soldier in Vietnam, Colonel Lacey introduces keynote speaker General McCaffrey with fond reminiscences of the General’s family, early career and his military exploits in the 7th Cavalry, once commanded by George Armstrong Custer, and later in Iraq, as commander of the 24th Infantry. He concludes his introduction by describing General McCaffrey as “Soldier. Statesman. Diplomat. Hero. Friend.”

GSN 2010 Awards: Gen McCaffrey Keynote Remarks  – Retired Four Star General Barry McCaffrey delivers a rousing speech saluting the successful public-private partnership of security technology vendors with the “unbelievably competent” municipal, state and federal law enforcement and intelligence agencies, the U.S. Coast Guard and the Department of Homeland Security, which has now come into its own, he says, ten years after 9/11, which he describes as the “most transformational event in our nation’s history.”
