People: Rogers to Digital Monitoring Products

Springfield, MO-based Digital Monitoring Products, the manufacturer of security and fire alarm products, has named Dave Rogers to the position of director, national accounts. In his new role, Rogers will focus on increasing sales of DMP products to selected larger national and super-regional dealers, as well as on managing and supporting those relationships. He also will be responsible for coordinating international sales. Rogers will report to Jeff McAleer , vice president, sales.






New York-based Duff & Phelps Corp., a provider of financial advisory and investment banking services, has expanded its Dispute and Legal Management consulting practice, adding Erik Laykin and Peggy Daley as new managing directors, who will be joining the Chicago and Los Angeles offices, respectively. They will lead Duff & Phelps's electronic discovery, computer forensics and investigations initiatives. Both Daley and Laykin join the firm from Navigant Consulting, Inc., where they were directors in the Disputes and Investigations practice.



Santa Ana, CA-based Hirsch Electronics, a supplier of access control and security management solutions, has named Ross Head to the newly created post of Asia-Pacific divisional manager. He will be responsible for supporting existing Hirsch partners and dealers, establishing new relationships and managing sales in the region. He is based in Cleveland, Queensland, Australia, and reports to John Piccininni, Hirsch vice president of sales. Head was national sales manager for Hirsch until 2003 when he left to join a Hirsch dealer as vice president, sales & marketing.



Peabody, MA- based AES Corp. has named Low Tiong Chuan of Singapore, as chief representative for its AES-IntelliNet division, covering the Asia-Pacific region. The AES-IntelliNet's system is, according to the company, a self-healing, long-range wireless mesh radio communication network that works in conjunction with the Internet to provide central monitoring service companies the ability to monitor alarms in multiple locations and regions from one location, without recurring monthly communications costs or infrastructure fees typically associated with remote monitoring.



Dr. Jeffrey Runge has left the Department of Homeland Security, where he served as the first assistant secretary for health affairs and chief medical officer. In a statement, DHS Secretary Michael Chertoff saluted Runge, saying "I have relied on Jeff over the past three years for his counsel and leadership on complex and critical issues ranging from pandemic planning and medical readiness, to biodefense and workforce health and safety protection." Runge is a familiar figure on Capitol Hill, where he has testified on such matters as the anthrax attacks and the nation’s state of preparedness against both pandemics and bio-terrorists. No reason for the departure was provided in the DHS statement.
