People: Kauffman to take key post in TSA Office of Intelligence

The Transportation Security Administration has named Keith Kauffman as assistant administrator for the TSA Office of Intelligence. As such, Kauffman will provide a daily intelligence overview for TSA Administrator Kip Hawley. Prior to joining TSA, Kauffman served for 24 years with the National Security Agency, where he was instrumental in creating the NSA Threat Operations Center.



Gus Coldebella is slated to be nominated by President Bush to serve as general counsel for the Department of Homeland Security. A former partner in the law firm of Goodwin Procter LLP, of Boston, he has been acting general counsel at DHS since February, managing nearly 1,700 attorneys throughout the department.

George Bieber, deputy, Information Assurance, HR and Training, Defense-wide Information Assurance Program, Department of Defense (Senior IT Security Manager);
John Stoute, acting chief information officer and director, Business Technology Optimization, Program Support Center, Department of Health and Human Services (Senior Non-IT Security Manager);
Cheri Gatland-Lightner, project manager in the Office of the Chief Information Security Officer, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Non-Managerial IT Security Professional).



Daniel deLellis has been appointed chief financial officer and general counsel for PICA Corp., a major private investigation and loss prevention firm based in Columbus, OH.
