Corporate News: Vigilant merges with BATM

The board of directors of
Vigilant Technology, with offices in New York, Tel Aviv and the U.K., has recommended accepting an acquisition offer from
BATM Advanced Communications Limited, of Kfar Netter, Israel, a designer and manufacturer of equipment used to manage, control and switch traffic over computer networks. Vigilant is a developer and manufacturer of high-frame-rate video recording and surveillance solutions meant to add value to video captured by customers’ CCTV networks. BATM products include fiber optic networking, multi-service transport, access solutions and integrated IP voice, data and video services. BATM currently employ more than 500 people, according to a Vigilant statement.
General Dynamics C4 Systems, of Scottsdale, AZ, has achieved TelePresence Authorized Technology Provider (ATP) status from San Jose, CA-based Cisco Systems. ATP status is required to sell, deploy and support Cisco TelePresence in the U.S. and internationally. Cisco’s TelePresence Meeting is a category of products that offers live, face-to-face, 1080p high-definition video meeting capabilities over an Internet Protocol (IP) network.
