Corporate News: Pointer Telocation - Portugal Telecom form team for GPS tracking

Pointer Telocation Ltd., of Rosh HaAyin, Israel, announced a partnership with Portugal Telecom Inovação SA, under which Inovação will incorporate Pointer Telocation's Cellocator GPS-tracking units into their location-based services for their users. Pointer Telocation is a global "one-stop-shop" for location-based security and safety services. Inovação is the telecommunications innovation branch within Group Portugal Telecom (PT).

MANAGEMENT TEAM - Andrews International, a Los Angeles-based full service provider of security and risk mitigation services, announced a strengthening of its executive management team, including the hiring of Ray O'Hara, CPP, as Senior Vice President, Consulting and Investigations (C&I). O'Hara currently serves as Secretary on the ASIS International Board of Directors and has served as President of the ASIS Professional Certification Board and Chair of the ASIS International Investigations Council.

IP VIDEO SOFTWARE - Milestone Systems, of Copenhagen, Denmark, demonstrated its XProtect video management software that supports the new H.264 compression standard. A Milestone spokesman pointed out that H.264 encoders can reduce the size of a digital video file by more than 80 percent against the Motion JPEG standard while maintaining the same visual quality.
