The Federal Protective Service division of Immigration and Customs Enforcement has awarded
Jenkins Security Consultants, Inc., of Washington, DC, a $7.3 million contract to provide guard services. The company has provided such guard services to several federal agencies, including DHS, the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms, the General Services Administration and the U.S. Naval Research Lab. Last year, some of the company’s guards walked off their jobs protesting failure of contracting government agencies to process payments. ICE has since centralized its invoicing system and appointed an ombudsman to oversee invoices and liaison with contractors.
