Biz Op: DHS to create federally funded research center

The Department of Homeland Security seeks a contractor to help the agency sponsor a studies and analysis Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC). The proposed FFRDC is to help DHS address its most critical issues by providing independent and objective analyses for strategic resource & support planning particularly in those areas that cut across multiple operating components of the Department, operational assessments including operational test & evaluation support, systems evaluations to include development of measurable performance metrics, and technology evaluations. The primary sponsor within DHS will be the Science and Technology Directorate. Corporate entities that operate the DHS National Biodefense Analysis and Countermeasures Center (NBACC) or receive an award to operate the proposed DHS FFRDC for system engineering and development institute (SEDI) will

Customs and Border Protection needs a surveillance system upgrade at facilities located at the March ARB in California. The anticipated contract calls for removal of the existing CCTV system and design and install of a

Immigration and Customs Enforcement-Federal Protective Service intends to acquire, under a small business set-aside,
guard services at the following locations: 500 North Capitol Street NW, Washington DC and 800 North Capitol Street NW, Washington DC. The contractor will be responsible for providing and maintaining all management, supervision, manpower, training, equipment, supplies, licenses, permits, certificates, insurance, pre-employment screenings, reports, and files necessary to accomplish security guard services at these locations. Customs and Border Protection is soliciting proposals for multiple-award, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity, fixed price contracts for mobile X-ray vans mounted non-intrusive inspection systems. The requirement will be for one mobile configuration. These imaging systems will support CBP’s mission for interdiction of incoming contraband; like weapons, explosives, illegal drugs, and outgoing currency and weapons through examination of bulk cargo, passenger baggage and international mail parcels.
