Biz Opps: ICE seeks low security facility to hold illegal immigrant families

Immigration & Customs Enforcement seeks up to three non-criminal family residential facilities to house a maximum population of 200 residents each, using minimal security to hold juveniles and their families in a safe and secure environment while in custody. Each facility is to be in a least restrictive, non-secure setting, but must meet all state welfare laws and education requirements related to operating family shelter type facilities. Department of Homeland Security is conducting market research, considering advertising, public relations and social marketing and partnership development for a public service advertisement (PSA) campaign. The contractor will be responsible for distributing existing PSAs until they expire in the general market, Hispanic market, and business market which include television, print, radio, Internet and outdoor advertisements. Once these PSAs expire, the contractor will be responsible for the creation of new PSAs on a two-year cycle for television, print, radio, Internet and outdoor advertisements. The Labor Department’s Office of Security and Emergency Management (SEM) has issued a Request for Information to obtain information from potential contractors to provide armed security guard and patrol services at the Francis Perkins Building (FPB) in Washington, DC. Customs and Border Protection needs a remote surveillance and reconnaissance robot. An award will be made to a responsive vendor whose past performance does not pose a risk to the Government and whose offer is the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA). Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Federal Protective Service (FPS), has a requirement for armed guard security services at three federally owned and leased facilities in Arlington, VA and Suitland, MD. It is the government’s intention to issue an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract with fixed unit pricing.
