Watching for snoops among the hardhats

The DIA is planning to move more than 650 positions to a new facility it is building in Charlottesville.
The security firm would be expected to detect unauthorized access to controlled areas and prevent the introduction of unauthorized materials at the site, according to a special notice posted May 1 by the DIA’s Virginia Contracting Activity, which is located at Bolling Air Force Base in Washington, DC.
The notice did not identify the specific structure being built in Charlottesville, nor any reasons for the DIA’s concerns about potential clandestine penetrations.
A Request for Proposals will be issued on or about May 26. Interested parties can contact Pamela Robinson, contracting specialist, or 202-231-3522.
