Biz Opps: TSA seeks manufacturers, vendors of bottle liquid scanners

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is seeking sources for handheld or table-top Bottled Liquid Scanners (BLS). After submission of white papers, TSA will hold an Industry Day at which time appropriately cleared vendors will be allowed to view classified portions of the requirements. The agency plans to establish a Qualified Product List (QPL) based on the overall performance of each offeror's scanner against TSA specifications and reasonableness of price. The Immigration and Customs Enforcement directorate of DHS seeks to develop a field training and evaluation program to provide post-academy training to personnel newly hired to Federal Protective Service inspector positions. The program shall include approximately 40 hours of training in a San Jose Model Field Training Program, with additional physical security components, for approximately 150 existing FPS personnel to become field training inspectors at various locations around the U.S. Contact: Carrie Craft, contract specialist, at 303-236-7931. TSA is looking for fabricated metal product manufacturers (of coins, pins, medals, etc.), to produce a TSA award coin.
