Biz Opps: DHS Domestic Preparedness Center seeks protective helmets

The Center for Domestic Preparedness has invited manufacturers of police helmets to submit samples for testing to the Federal Emergency Management Agency. FEMA is conducting tests on law enforcement tactical protective helmets (LE helmets) to validate their effectiveness when used by emergency responders in situations involving weapons of mass destruction (WMD) or other hazardous materials. The U.S. Coast Guard has a requirement for two Liquified Gas Carrier Examination Courses. The proposed contract will be a one-year, fixed price commercial contract, with four option years. Each course it expected to be five days in duration, with a maximum of 20 students per course. Contact: at 202-475-3241. Respond by January 11.



Immigration and Customs Enforcement-Federal Protective Service seeks guard services for two locations in Washington, DC. The contract will consist of one two-month base period plus four 12-month option periods. Contact: at 215-521-2254.



The Interior Department’s Bureau of Reclamation requires an automated emergency notification system (ENS) or emergency notification services. The system will be used during normal operations as well as emergency situations, including national emergencies and emergency weather situations. Contact: at 303-445-2433.
