Biz Opps: DHS Domestic Preparedness Center seeks protective helmets

The Center for Domestic Preparedness has invited manufacturers of police helmets to submit samples for testing to the Federal Emergency Management Agency. FEMA is conducting tests on law enforcement tactical protective helmets (LE helmets) to validate their effectiveness when used by emergency responders in situations involving weapons of mass destruction (WMD) or other hazardous materials. The U.S. Coast Guard has a requirement for two Liquified Gas Carrier Examination Courses. The proposed contract will be a one-year, fixed price commercial contract, with four option years. The Interior Department’s Bureau of Reclamation requires an automated emergency notification system (ENS) or emergency notification services.
