ObjectFX introduces SpatialRules 3.0

Minneapolis, MN-based ObjectFX, a geospatial platform solutions provider, has released SpatialRules version 3.0, its spatio-temporal rules engine, part of the suite of ObjectFX geospatial solutions. SpatialRules 3.0 is designed for enterprise government organizations, and particularly for intelligence, defense and homeland security initiatives. According to the company, this new software brings a significantly higher level of insight and flexibility to support mission planning, situational awareness, all-source analysis, asset tracking and battlefield visualization. It works with user-defined rule layers, enabling the user to track moving objects or real-time events through automatic system-generated notifications.

The site also includes an agency-by-agency survey of other important governmental matters that need attending. Zistos offering video-surveillance radiation-detection adapter

Radiation detection - Holbrook, NY-based Zistos Corp., a portable video systems specialist, is offering the VRAD Video Radiological Adapter, which generates an early warning of radiological alarm events on the surveillance video screen. The system uses existing video cameras, cables and monitors, and reports radiation levels and alarms on a video overlay that appears on the surveillance video and can be viewed or recorded on existing video surveillance hardware.

USCG posting guard to Memphis facility

The U.S. Coast Guard is seeking an unarmed, uniformed security guard for its regional examination center, located in Memphis, TN, for the period from Nov. 1, 2008 until Sept. 30, 2009. The guard will be responsible for controlling access to the unit, making random patrols, monitoring CCTV equipment and checking identifications before granting access to office. The guard will work 40 hours per week, Monday thru Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM, excluding 10 federal holidays. Response deadline is Oct. 10, 2008.
