San Juan Capistrano, CA-based IQinVision reports on its surveillance system’s latest collar, which took place at a crime-plagued fitness center parking lot in Southern California, where, according to the company, no robbery had been prosecuted in more than a decade.
DUOS to secure West Coast freight rail yard

Jacksonville, FL-based Duos Technologies, Inc. will design and deploy an intelligent video surveillance system to secure an unnamed a “vital” rail yard in the western United States.
At the rail yard, Duos will establish a secure “virtual perimeter,” covering an area of more than two miles, employing day / night video cameras and its proprietary software, to provide continuous monitoring of the yard’s boundary.
Panasonic’s P-Tech takes the show on the road

IMS Research lowers video surveillance forecast

Data - In another sign of the tough economic times, Wellingborough, UK-based IMS Research has cut its video surveillance growth forecasts from those made originally in November 2008.
In November, IMS forecast that the global analogue and network video surveillance markets would grow by 5 percent and 34 percent, respectively, during 2009.
