Uninterrupted power at the Cheney’s official residence

By Jacob Goodwin, Editor-in-Chief

Published November 20th, 2007

Cheney at Home

Sure, we all know about Vice President Dick Cheney’s heart disease and the electronic pacemaker he wears, but GSN nevertheless found it curious that the U.S. Secret Service plans to award a contract to Lee Technologies Inc. for maintenance of the "generator and uninterrupted power supply systems" at the veep’s official residence at the Naval Observatory on Massachusetts Avenue in Washington, DC.

More than likely, the work that Fairfax, VA-based Lee Technologies will undertake has more to do with maintaining the mission critical infrastructure of the 19th Century residence than Cheney’s troubled ticker, but one never knows. And the Secret Service, as usual, isn’t talking.
