MotionDSP, of San Mateo, CA, announced the immediate availability of Ikena Reveal state-of-the-art video forensic software that runs on standard Microsoft Windows-based laptops and desktops in both law enforcement labs and remotely in the field. Ikena Reveal can be used in "automatic-mode" to extract real information in seconds. Bosch Security Systems, Inc., announced the addition of a new line of high performance and general purpose color liquid crystal display (LCD) flat panel monitors to its extensive portfolio of security components and solutions. Designed for professional CCTV installations, Bosch’s high resolution VGA and UXGA monitors provide exceptional image quality along with other innovative surveillance features, such as picture-in-picture, split screen viewing and digital HDMI input. The new monitors range in size from 15-inch to 42-inch models with wall, rack and pole mounting options available. The company’s new UML-172-90 17-inch and UML-192-90 19-inch high performance monitors include a color thin film transistor (TFT) active matrix LCD panel for high resolution imaging.

Neurotechnology (formerly Neurotechnologija), a Lithuania-based provider of high-precision biometric identification technologies, has released two new biometric software development kits: VeriFinger 6.0 SDK for fingerprint recognition and VeriLook 3.2 SDK for facial recognition applications. Both versions support development of Web-based applications, live face detection and incorporate MegaMatcher core algorithms for reliable biometric identification, enabling the development of fast, reliable and cost-effective biometric identification systems for Windows, Linux and Mac OSX platforms.

New Products: Zistos offers Portable Network Surveillance Camera

Zistos Corp., of Holbrook, NY, now offers its Portable Network Surveillance Camera (PNSC), which comes in a self-contained case that includes a rechargeable battery, video pole camera with illuminator and a video server. It transmits on a wireless network. It can tied into existing structured networks or be used as a stand-alone camera. The rechargeable battery can operate the system for up to 12 hours. The PNSC can generate alarm events based on changes in video image content. Video from alarms can be recorded locally to flash media and monitored remotely over a network. The PNSC is available with night vision cameras, with IR illumination.

Napco Security Systems Express GT Series Hardwire/Wireless Systems provide end-users with highly crafted, feature rich keypads. Two highly advanced GT express systems now available are the XP-400 and XP 600 models. The XP400 provides up to four feature-rich hardwired/wireless zones. When used with a GEM-RECVXP8 receiver, the control panel can support up to four wireless zones and two keyfobs. The XP600 wireless unit supports up to two Gemini wireless receivers and provides support for up to four keyfobs. The XP-600 also features a 2-Wire Fire Zone that supports four wireless Gemini Smoke Detectors.

New Products: PacStar 6000 series IP communications unveiled at FOSE

Portland, OR-based PacStar, in a collaborative effort with the Unified Communications division of Cisco, announced the release of the PacStar 6000 series of Unified Communications (UC) Enterprise and Deployable solutions. The new products, in tandem with the 6300 and 6800 series, are designed to deliver IP-based voice, video and data communications to U.S. forces around the world, in compliance with new specifications to move to Everything over IP (EoIP), as mandated by the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD). The new solutions could also have applications for large homeland security and law enforcement agencies. The PacStar 6000 series is based on Cisco Unified Communications systems that have been enhanced with PacStar's patented IQ Software, which provides a unified, easy to use interface that automates and simplifies routine, time-consuming and difficult tasks. The new systems are housed in PacStar's IQ-Core case, a ruggedized case housing and tray structure that is designed to meet Military Standard 810F requirements for transportation, vibration, shock and temperature.

The company announced it will ship hardware with pre-installed software, enabling users to deploy these products with very little effort. New Products: Leica ScanStation makes TV drama debut

The Leica Geosystems ScanStation, a state-of-the-art forensic 3D laser scanner, made its cable TV debut on "Fatal Feud," the latest episode of A&E’s new hit real-life criminal justice series, Crime 360. Investigators in the series use the new 3D laser scanning technology to help solve the death of a gun shot victim. Leica 3D laser scanning technology is designed to support shooting reconstruction.
