Surveillance kit - Stevensville, MD-based Centronics, Inc., a distributor of audio, video and accessory products for the security, commercial and residential markets since 1959, has unveiled its new DSK-15 remote CCTV/surveillance kit. The DSK-15 comes with four day/night, waterproof cameras, a four-channel DVR, cables, four camera brackets, remote control and a user CD. The unit is Internet-ready for remote surveillance, has an on-screen display, is alarm-system compatible and is shipped with a 160-GB upgradeable hard drive. The system can be integrated with both Windows Vista and XP. Centronics’s MSRP is $799.95.

Investigation analysis - McLean, VA-based i2 Inc., a visual investigative analysis software provider, has introduced iCentral, described by the company as the only investigation management solution to deliver complete 360-degree visibility and management of intelligence data, from basic intelligence on people and their properties to biometrics. The iCentral platform’s capabilities include enterprise data capture and tracking and investigative discovery, tasking and workflow automation, and reporting.

Remote flash drive audit and deletion - Millis, MA-based Kanguru Solutions has introduced the Kanguru Remote Management Console (KRMC), which will remotely monitor, manage and audit activity from specific USB flash drives anywhere in the world. It allows administrators to remotely delete and audit selected Kanguru USB flash drives. If a device is lost or stolen, it can be automatically deleted as soon as it is plugged into a computer with network or Internet access. Deletion of all data from certain drives that may contain time sensitive or confidential information also can be scheduled in advance. The KRMC will be available in two versions, one hosted on a secure remote server and one that will run on a server within the client’s internal network. Each version will have similar features, with some unique options specific to the KRMC version.
