New Products: Augusta Systems boosts smart electronic grid capabilities

Augusta Systems, Inc., of Morgantown, WV, has upgraded its SensorBridge suite of security network management tools, which enable the correlation and integration of data from multiple sensors and systems. SensorBridge v 3.0 is designed to build and manage intelligent networks for military operations, asset tracking, public safety and other applications. Augusta is also expected shortly to unveil a major upgrade of EdgeFrontier, its widely deployed middleware for building and managing intelligent networks for field-deployable appliances and devices.



SECURITY DESIGN – Alion Science and Technology, of McLean, VA, announced the release of a stand-alone version of MOTISS (Measure of Total Integrated System Survivability), a software application helping designers of large structures, including ships and buildings, improve defenses against threats.



CHEM-BIO DETECTION – ICx Technologies, of Washington, DC, released its SafeAir solution for comprehensive surveillance and detection of biological, chemical and radiological (CBR) threats. The system, designed to cost-effectively monitor indoor environments for aerosolized substances, allows integrated monitoring against multiple threats.



GUARD TRACKING – NovaTracker, of Cranford, NJ, introduced its GuardTrax system, which combines a suite of technologies to give security managers the ability to monitor, track and manage field; level security personnel in real-time over the Internet.



FACILITY MANAGEMENT – The Vizer Technology Group division of Westminster, CO-based Security With Advanced Technology, announced the release of CommandGrid, which allows users to remotely access alarm systems, access control devices, video surveillance systems and monitor environmental conditions (heat, lighting, air conditioning) through a secure Web site.



PERSONAL IDENTITY – Digital Defense Group, of Omaha, NE, unveiled its personal identity platform, centered on Factor4 and IronGate contactless security bio-cards driven by the company’s Biometric Operating Secure System. The self-enrolling bio-cards’ processor drives BOSS to deliver multi-protocol silos for system, file, access and custom commands.



ACCESS CONTROL – ForeScout Technologies, of Cupertino, CA, has upgraded its CounterAct access control solution, expanding endpoint security, scalability and remediation features.
