New Products: QinetiQ introduces suicide bomber detection systems

QinetiQ North America Technology Solutions Group announced the release of two suicide bomber detection system.. The SPO-20 and SPO-7R are non-imaging passive remote detection systems that can reveal the presence of potential suicide bombers and other anomalies, at ranges out to 30 meters, with a probability of detection exceeding 90 percent. Both systems employ passive millimeter wave technology to look beneath clothing for concealed IEDs, without running afoul of privacy issues associated with conventional imaging systems. The screening process and real-time detection requires less than three seconds.


IMMIGRATION E-VERIFY - ImmigrationTracker, the San Francisco-based maker of immigration management software, announced the release of its Tracker I-9 software system for ensuring Form I-9 compliance. The solution is designed to enable compliance for federal contractors who must 'E-Verify' employees' eligibility to work. E-Verify is an Internet-based system operated by the Department of Homeland Security, in partnership with the Social Security Administration, that allows participating employers to verify the employment eligibility of their newly-hired employees.


DATA SECURITY - Mobile Armor, Inc., announced a partnership agreement with Dell Computer to provide Mobile Armor's data encryption solutions to both federal government agencies and enterprise organizations within the private sector. The reseller agreement allows Dell to sell Mobile Armor's FIPS 140-2 certified encryption solutions.


P25 RADIOS - RELM Wireless Corp. announced that the first product in its new BK Radio high-performance KNG series of P25 digital radios has been released for sale. Designed with the demanding needs of professional applications in mind, including public safety, law enforcement and the military, the KNG-P150, operating in the 136-174 MHz frequency band, is now available to customers seeking compact and lightweight radios with class-A performance specifications.
