New Products: Vidisco shows portable dual energy X-ray system

Vidisco, of Or Yehuda, Israel, announced the release of a portable automatic Dual Energy (DE) system for organic/ inorganic detection, utilizing pulsed X-ray sources. The system’s flat amorphous silicon panels, Flat foX-17 and foX-Rayzor, allow a bomb technician to analyze images on site and immediately differentiate organic materials like explosives or drugs from inorganic substances like metals. Company officials add that DE penetration is improved by 200 percent, allowing for better Probability Of Detection (POD) in IED’s.


OBJECT DETECTION - Brijot Imaging Systems, of Lake Mary, FL, announced the development, in collaboration with the U.S. Army, of ScanPort, which optimizes deployment the Brijot GEN 2 passive millimeter wave concealed object detection and people screening technology in a portable, container-based format. ScanPort serves as the foundation for an integrated checkpoint solution in the military_s extreme outdoor locations, and can be part of a layered security option in commercial environments as well.


SURVEILLANCE INFORMATION - Panasonic Security Systems, the professional video surveillance division of Panasonic System Solutions Co., announced the release of version 5.5 of its Spec Assist tool. The CD provides valuable information and resources for systems integrators, dealers, consultants and A&Es to help with formulating bids and proposals. Assist CD includes product literature and live demos in addition to product selectors, estimators and calculators, product operating instructions, housing and lens compatibility charts, presentations and more.


AUDIO VIDEO CONTROL – Aiphone, of Nagoya, Japan, released the AX-8MV-W, a new white master station for their popular AX Series intercom. The new audio-video master supports up to 8 master stations and 8 door stations while offering video intercom communication that integrates into other existing security systems including; CCTV and Electronic Access Control and door call-ins may be transferred to a telephone line. The AX Series also features audio-video door stations with embedded card readers to create a complete all-in-one security solution.
