New Products: HID unveils "virtual" credential system

SECURE IDENTITY – HID Global, based in Irvine, CA, announced the release of its idBank System, offering delivery of virtual secure identity credentials. HID’s virtual credentials technology utilizes personal biometric identity verification tokens for both physical and logical access. The idBank system allows users to emulate HID and other popular access control credential formats using form factors other than the traditional card. The idBankSystem is available through HID Global and Privaris sales channels.



RFID – Veratag, located in Albany, NY, announced the development of micro-electro-mechanical system (MEMS) resonators, producing unique analog "fingerprint" signals which can be incorporated into and enhance security for Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) systems.



COVERT VIDEO – Law Enforcement Associates, of Youngsville, NC, unveiled its Graffiti Cam, a unique, covert surveillance solution that proactively notifies law enforcement of graffiti-related activity. The Graffiti Cam can capture up to 6,000 high-quality images at 0.1 seconds per frame, to aid in the identification and conviction of offenders.



BIOMETRIC ID – ImageWare Systems, Inc., of San Diego, CA, rolled out its IWS Biometric Engine biometric identity management solutions, with specific applications designed to meet requirements for HSPD-12, automated fingerprint identification, ePassport and eVisa, application identity vetting and physical access control.



ACCESS CONTROL – DoorKing, Inc., of Inglewood, CA, released its Model 9550 Maximum Security vehicular gate operator. The 9550 slide gate operator can manage gates weighing up to 5,000 pounds, offering variable speed controls (including panic close-up mode), self-adjusting disc brake with manual release and an advanced control board with programming switches to set mode of operation.



COLOR VIDEO – Pelco, headquartered in Clovis, CA, unveiled its latest video product: the Pelco IP Series color network camera. The IP3701 offers extended dynamic range, guaranteeing clear images in extreme lighting environments. It can be controlled with a standard Web browser, Pelco’s Endura network-based video security systems, or many standard third party video management programs.
