New Products: Napco intros new GT Series hardwire/wireless fire alarm systems

Napco Security Systems Express GT Series Hardwire/Wireless Systems provide end-users with highly crafted, feature rich keypads. Two highly advanced GT express systems now available are the XP-400 and XP 600 models. The XP400 provides up to four feature-rich hardwired/wireless zones. When used with a GEM-RECVXP8 receiver, the control panel can support up to four wireless zones and two keyfobs. The XP600 wireless unit supports up to two Gemini wireless receivers and provides support for up to four keyfobs. The XP-600 also features a 2-Wire Fire Zone that supports four wireless Gemini Smoke Detectors.



FINGERPRINT READERS - SecuGen Biometric Solutions, of Santa Clara, CA, announces the immediate availability of an improved version of the Hamster Plus fingerprint reader. The newly upgraded device captures fingerprint images much faster than previously. In addition, it incorporates a Smart Capture feature, which automatically adjusts the sensor brightness to capture fingerprints from dry and moist fingers that often have been difficult to scan. Smart Captures improves image quality that results in greater matching accuracy.



IP CAMERAS - Sony announced its entry into the megapixel marketplace with several new additions to its lineup of IP-based security network cameras. These include the SNC-DM110 Megapixel Normal mini-dome, SNC-CM120 Megapixel CS mount Day/Night and the SNC-DM160 Megapixel Rugged Day/Night mini-dome models.



WI-FI ASSURANCE - Finland’s 7signal announced the launch of its Wi-Fi quality assurance solution. The 7signal Sapphire Wireless Quality Assurance (WQA) system continuously monitors and measures Wi-Fi network and end-user application quality. Sapphire operates independently from the monitored network, providing continuous, neutral information on network condition and performance.



ANALOG ENCODER - Avigilon, of Vancouver, Canada, introduced four new low-cost, high definition IP surveillance cameras delivering quality performance for the same cost as analog cameras, along with the new Avigilon Analog Video Encoder, which enables users to leverage existing camera investments and cost effectively migrate from analog video to the better protection of HD surveillance.
