New Products: Off The Wall releases new K 12 barrier options

Off The Wall Products, LLC, of Salt Lake City, UT, introduced a new K12/L3 fixed bollard, capable of stopping a 15,000-pound vehicle traveling at 50 mph. L3 is the highest rating accorded by the Department of State. The bollard is also cost effective, because it is made from standard off-the-shelf components, including square steel I-beams. The State Department-certified bollard has an 18-inch foundation which can be installed in as little as two days and be effective in one week.



INFORMATION ASSURANCE – Guidance Software, of Pasadena, CA, announced new capabilities in its EnCase Information Assurance software to address government cyber security requirements. The solution automates key information assurance processes, enabling users to scan thousands of nodes at high speed, helping enable compliance with FISMA, DCID 6/3 and other critical government network security mandates.



ACCESS CONTROL – BQT Solutions (UK) Ltd., of Epsom, UK, now offers a low-cost, high-performance access control solution for local government installations. The company’s SmaX system is an IP-based access control solution allowing operators to monitor, authorize and record all access movements in facilities with 2 to 30 doors. It can be combined with BQT biometric and CCTV products and training to provide a complete security solution.



VIDEO INVESTIGATION – VidSys, of Marlborough, MA, and ObjectVideo, of Reston, VA, have partnered to provide a physical security management system with intelligent analytics. The system merges ObjectVideo’s OnBoard detection system with zVidSys’s VidShield platform which integrates input from other physical security and surveillance systems. The combination connects intelligent monitoring with immediate investigation, allowing customers to address emerging security events in real-time with actionable intelligence.



VEHICLE SECURITY – Pointer Telocation, of Rosh HaAyin, Israel, offers an advanced asset tracking device, known as Cellocator CelloTrack. The small, stand-alone tracking device uses GPS locator technology, along with a 3D accelerometer and full event data logging, which permits complete fixed and mobile, powerless and powered asset tracking, aimed at asset management, loss prevention and security.
