PERIMETER DEFENSE - Intelligent Perimeter Systems, of Columbus, OH, unveiled its Intelli-Gate Automatic Entry and Intelli-Barrier Automatic Vehicle Intrusion systems, both of which add intelligent technology components to perimeter defense products. The systems integrate retractable barrier hardware (capable of stopping a 30,000-pound vehicle traveling at 50 mph) with state-of-the-art sensors, including CCTV, laser curtain intrusion detection and audible enunciators, allowing the barriers to detect explosives, bio-chemical weapons, radiation and other threats.
RF DETECTION - Kaltman Creations LLC, of Atlanta, GA,
announced the expansion of their RF analyzer and antenna
product lines, with the addition of several new models of
its Spectran RF spectrum analyzers. The analyzers feature
graphical display of frequency sweeps and associated signal
strength readouts.
MODULAR BARRIERS - Security Solutions International, of
Miami, FL, launched its Modular Vehicle Barrier, designed
to stop Vehicle-Borne Improvised Explosive Devices
(VBIEDs).
COVERT DVR - Video Domain, of Westbury, NY, introduced
MemoCam Zorro, a covert camera and DVR with dual-detection
features (PIR and video motion) contained in a small sensor
case. The Zorro includes built-in RS-485 and video-out
ports, and comes with IR remote control and a swivel
mounting bracket.
VIDEO MANAGER - Bosch Security Systems, Inc., of Fairport,
NY, released its Video Recording Manager, for centralized
management of iSCSI disk arrays used for storage in an IP-
based CCTV network.
BATTERIES - Maxell Corp., of Fair Lawn, NJ, announced the
availability of new, longer life, high capacity lithium
hybrid cells for meters, security and RF uses. The hybrid
cells can operate for 10 years, offering nine percent
higher capacity.
