Integrated Security Systems, Inc. (ISSI), of Carrollton, TX, announced that B&B Roadway, a joint venture partner of its B&B Armr subsidiary, has developed a new, energy-absorbing, movable barrier system, designed to bring a vehicle to a full stop by allowing speed to be dissipated without abrupt deceleration. The system, expected to be shipped in the second quarter of 2008, is designed to meet access control requirements of state and local transport agencies, as well as border patrol and law enforcement applications.

CIEFFE, the Italian-based developer of digital technologies used in integrated security systems, introduced the Nettuno Quatro, a network encoder with neural motion detector, capable of encoding video and audio from up to four analog video/audio sources in real time with the H.264 algorithm. Each channel can be configured with a different encoder.

Texas Instruments unveiled what it claims is the world’s first single-chip, multi-format, real time HD video transcoding solution. The DaVinci digital media processor (also known as model DM6467) permits seamless video movement across multiple products.

The new IntelliSight Threat Intelligence Suite from Dallas-based iSight Partners provides actionable intelligence on high-priority emerging threats such as malicious code, software vulnerabilities and intellectual property theft risks.
