TAMPA. May 16, 2017 The TW-950 TSM Shadow™ is the newest tactical radio for networking solutions by TrellisWare Technologies, Inc. TSM Shadow provides unparalleled performance powered by TrellisWare’s TSM-X™ waveform. Because TSM Shadow runs the full TSM-X waveform, it compliments interoperability with the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) Mobile Ad-hoc Networking (MANET) for SOF Tactical Communications (STC) radios, including the STC Next Generation Handheld (NGHH).
Compared to previous generations of the TSM™ waveform, TSM-X doubles the throughput for single hop traffic and nearly quadruples throughput for multi-hop traffic and multi-cast streaming of multiple High Definition (HD) videos. The expanded frequency coverage includes the UHF, L, and S bands in a single radio. The flexible bandwidth of TSM-X is configurable from 1.2 to 40 MHz, and supports simultaneous voice, Position Location Information (PLI), and data for networks of over 200 users.
In addition, TrellisWare has a new single board radio module and third party integration program for enabling new devices and platforms to be part of the ever-expanding TSM-X network.

ESSEX JUNCTION, VT May 16, 2017 Designed and built in conjunction with Special Operations Forces (SOF) users, Revision Military’s new Caiman Head System reinforces the Company’s standing as the world leader in integrated head protection systems. The Caiman Head System is a true full-spectrum special operations helmet solution, and will be commercially available in stages, starting with the Caiman Carbon Bump Helmet System. The Caiman Carbon Bump System—including carbon bump helmet, a streamlined rail system, and an innovative liner and suspension system—will be available for sale at the end of July.

DULLES, VA May 15, 2017 Orbital ATK (NYSE: OA), a global leader in aerospace and defense technologies, announced today that the company has received contracts valued at $53 million to produce large caliber training ammunition for the U.S. Army. The orders include both 120mm and 105mm ammunition types. The 120mm training ammunition, used by the Abrams main battle tank, includes the M865 kinetic energy and the M1002 multi-purpose tank training rounds. The 105mm M724A2 is used for crew training on the Stryker Mobile Gun System vehicles. These training rounds closely replicate tactical ammunition in appearance and ballistic performance to provide the warfighter with an affordable, yet realistic training experience.
“High-quality training ammunition is essential to the warfighter, who must be prepared to react decisively on today's battlefield,” said Dan Olson, Vice President and General Manager for the Armament Systems Division of Orbital ATK’s Defense Systems Group. “By leveraging our expertise in tactical ammunition, we have produced training rounds that are visually and ballistically similar to their counterpart tactical rounds while meeting the reliability and safety performance requirements for use on U.S. and European ranges.”
The contracts include production of new M1002 and M724A2 rounds to fill inventories and the recapitalization of existing M865 and M1002 rounds to extend their service life.

ORLANDO, May 15, 2017 Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) received a delivery order from the U.S. Air Force to provide Sniper® Advanced Targeting Pods (ATP) to the Kuwait Air Force for its F/A-18C/D Hornet aircraft.
The order was added under Lockheed Martin's existing foreign military sales indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract and includes 14 Sniper ATPs, spares, support equipment and integration. Pod deliveries will begin in 2018 to address urgent operational needs of the Kuwait Air Force.
"Sniper ATP provides critical targeting and non-traditional intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance support in challenging threat environments," said Paul Lemmo, vice president of Fire Control/Special Operations Forces Contractor Logistics Support Services at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control. "By integrating Sniper ATP on its Hornet aircraft, the Kuwait Air Force continues expanding operational capabilities across its fighter fleet."
Lockheed Martin announced efforts to integrate Sniper ATP on the Kuwait Air Force's Typhoon aircraft in 2016. Sniper ATP is also used on Canada's CF-18 and on multinational F-15, F-16, A-10, B-1, B-52 and F-2 aircraft. Additionally, Lockheed Martin is conducting Sniper ATP flight tests on the U.S. Navy's Super Hornet.
Sniper ATP detects, identifies, automatically tracks and laser-designates small tactical targets at long ranges. It also supports employment of all laser- and GPS-guided weapons against multiple fixed and moving targets.

TAMPA, FL May 15, 2017 SPECIAL OPERATIONS FORCES INDUSTRY CONFERENCE -- Textron Systems Weapon & Sensor Systems, a business of Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT), announced today the successful testing of the Fury® lightweight precision guided glide munition against moving targets at Yuma Proving Grounds in Arizona. This test marks a significant milestone, as it marks the completion of the Fury weapon's development.
The Weapon & Sensor Systems team conducted 13 test flights for the Fury weapon, which accumulated to a total of 23.8 flight hours between captive carriage, survey flights and 10 weapon releases from unmanned aircraft systems (UAS). Two tests were conducted from Textron Systems' own Shadow® Tactical UAS at an altitude of 8,000 feet and a 1.5 kilometer standoff against a moving target. Both munitions successfully impacted the target. These results demonstrate end-to-end testing of the Fury weapon and improve both system maturity and Technology Readiness Level (TRL).
"Based on the results achieved during Fury flight testing, we are pleased with the development progress of the Fury lightweight precision guided munition," says Weapon & Sensor Systems Senior Vice President & General Manager Brian Sinkiewicz.
The Fury weapon uses a common interface for rapid integration on multiple manned and unmanned platforms. The weapon's tri-mode fuzing – impact, height of burst and delay – further enables a single Fury to address a broad target set, ranging from static and moving light armored vehicles to small boats and dismounted personnel. Fury is guided by a GPS-aided inertial navigation system with a Semi-Active Laser terminal guidance, enabling engagement of moving targets.

Recent geopolitical changes have had a significant impact on security and defence within Latin America. TEWKSBURY, MA May 11, 2017 Raytheon Co. - Integrated Defense Systems, Woburn, Massachusetts, has been awarded a $52,686,179 fixed-price-incentive-firm engineering and manufacturing development (EMD) contract for Three-Dimensional Expeditionary Long-Range Radar (3DELRR) System. Contractor will provide EMD of three 3DELRR production representative units. Work will be performed at Andover, Massachusetts, and is expected to be complete by Nov. 30, 2020. This award is the result of a competitive acquisition with two offers received. Fiscal 2017 research, development, test, and evaluation funds in the amount of $5,500,000 are being obligated at the time of award. The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Hanscom Air Force Base, Massachusetts, is the contracting activity (FA8730-17-C-0018).
