Pivot3 Inc., a supplier of IP SANs to the video surveillance market, announced on Feb. 8 that surveillance industry veteran Mark Modica has been appointed to the newly-created position of vice president of business development for video surveillance.
“We’re seeing strong growth and marketplace success in our core surveillance business and continued progress is a critical part of our strategy,” said Richard Bravman, CEO of Pivot3. “We created this new position to drive focus on our company goal of securing additional market share gains across the most storage-rich vertical segments, including transportation, government, gaming and municipal surveillance.”
“Mark has the domain knowledge and industry relationships to accomplish this, and he already works closely with the ecosystem of resellers, solution partners and A&E professionals serving this space,” Bravman continued.
“I’m delighted to take on this assignment,” Modica said. “From our early success in the gaming markets to our new-found wins in government and transportation installations, it is clear that the unique value of Pivot3 Serverless Computing is making open systems successful. Our value proposition versus conventional IT products is compelling and the industry migration to IP and converged systems provides terrific tailwind for us.”
