Viscount Systems Inc., of Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada, a supplier of security systems and software, announced on December 22 that Paul Brisgone has been named to the company’s board of directors.
Brisgone has had a long career in the security industry, most recently as vice president of the federal systems division for ADT Security, responsible for selling and managing federal government projects. Brisgone built the division from $20 million in annual sales to over $300 million annually, managing a staff of more than 200 sales and technical support personnel, said a news release issued by Viscount.
While at ADT, he managed the security industry’s largest GSA schedule, using it to generate over $50 million in sales annually, built a transportation security business from the ground up into a group that provides services to more than 60 airports nationally, and developed and built the integrated systems business unit within ADT’s federal systems group.
Stephen Pineau, Viscount Systems’ CEO, said “Paul Brisgone has been a highly successful executive in the security industry. His profile and experience will bring enormous insight to our company.”
“I was first introduced to Viscount at the ASIS Security Expo in September of this year,” recalled Brisgone. “After spending some time doing background work on the company and its technology, it became apparent that Viscount did indeed have a technology that represents a true unification of physical and IT security. I’m delighted to join the company’s board of directors.”
