Laser line security metal detector from Wizard

Security Wizard 4

Created to make metal detection quicker, easier and more reliable, Wizard Industries has released its new Security Wizard 4, a laser line metal detector for security professionals.

Updated to provide pinpoint accuracy, this tool is the first of its kind to provide laser light metal detection, says the company in a news release it issued on July 8. The device has double the detection capability than earlier versions and an entirely new design, offering an easy, more precise way to find knives, pipes, guns and other dangerous objects.

The Security Wizard 4 uses a bright red laser line to visually indicate the presence of metal up to four inches away, with unmatched accuracy, says the release. It works in conjunction with a sound indicator to give security professionals, law enforcement officers and members of the armed forces the power required to keep crowds safe.

With improved false-positive rejection and automatic calibration, the Security Wizard 4 significantly upgrades the ability to find metal in clothes, luggage, plastic containers and more. Further updates include a new circuit design, which improves effectiveness, and ergonomic improvements for easier one-handed use.

“An audio signal on metal detectors was good, but it only indicated a general area of metal location. And it wasn’t reliable in noisy situations,” said Billy Carmen, CEO of Wizard Industries. “Well, security just got twice as powerful. Now metal can be located with even greater precision and, because of its laser, it can be used in any situation, even loud events. It’s the only tool with this capability.”

The patent pending Security Wizard 4 carries a MSRP of $149.95. It will be available nationwide through metal detector dealers, Amazon.comSears.com, and other specialty tool suppliers.
