Medeco High Security Locks will debut its new suite of Small Form Interchangeable Core (SFIC) products, known as Smart SFIC Solutions, at ASIS 2010 held in Dallas, TX, on October 12-15.
The product line, launched last month as a joint effort with Arrow Lock, offers three locks designed to provide maximum value, competitive prices and superior key capabilities to fit a variety of security needs, particularly within the education, and facilities management and healthcare industries.
Smart SFIC Solutions feature KeyMark x4, Arrow Pointe and Nexgen XT, providing a range of security protection without the need for new hardware, wiring or repairs to existing locks, said a press release issued by Medeco on August 6.
Nexgen XT, Medeco’s most recent addition to the product line-up, offers a quick and easy retrofit option for facilities that utilize SFIC cylinders, and adds critical accountability features including user scheduling, audit logs of entry and key expiration.
Medeco will also feature its full suite of eCylinder products, including its Logic and Hybrid Digital Cylinders. Providing a simple and economical solution to add audit and scheduling, Medeco eCylinders feature a single multi-technology credential for electronic and mechanical systems, and portable cylinder technology to support changing user needs.
Logic Digital Cylinders and Digital Keys aid users in managing loss and liability, offering convenience and security through digital masterkeying, says Medeco.
The Logic product family includes Rim, Mortise, Key-In-Knob cylinders, deadbolts (both in commercial and residential styles) padlocks, and cam locks. Ideal for various regulatory needs such as Sarbanes Oxley compliance, suitable applications can include commercial, data processing centers, distribution and warehousing, local government, industrial and light manufacturing, retail and restaurant.
End-users can expand their Medeco and KeyMark x4 masterkey systems with the Hybrid Cylinder which incorporates the functions of common online access control readers into an offline retrofit cylinder. Mechanical and electronic access control systems can be easily merged for absolute flexibility, security and convenience, all while reducing costs for new installations or system expansions. The Hybrid keys and cylinders incorporate PROX technology from HID to further integrate with existing systems with a single credential.
