Ridge Global names David West as its director of investment and business strategy

Ridge Global, an international provider of security and risk management services, today announced the appointment of David West as Director of Investment and Business Strategy.

“David West has a broad scope of international business and government expertise, particularly in the areas of finance, strategy and international security,” said Tom Ridge, president and CEO of Ridge Global. “We have experienced steady business growth over the past few years because of the team that we have assembled. I look forward to David’s contributions to Ridge Global as we continue to target increased market strategies for our clients.”

Previously, Mr. West held positions at Gemini Consulting Group, as a vice president involved in the development of the company's domestic and international healthcare-related investment opportunities and at Morgan Stanley as a financial analyst in the investment banking and private equity group.

Before entering the private sector, Mr. West served as Special Assistant to the Assistant Secretary for International Affairs and Coordinator of the U.S. - U.K. Joint Contact Group on Homeland Security. In this role, he served as an advisor to Secretary Ridge and, later, Secretary Michael Chertoff on intelligence and law enforcement information sharing; science and technology research and development; cargo, border, and transport security; and financial crime initiatives.

Mr. West holds a duel Bachelor of Arts in economics and public policy studies from Duke University, a Master of Science in international relations from the London School of Economics and a Master of Business Administration at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
